Description

Most museums say don’t touch. This one was built around the opposite idea. Every exhibit in the 28,000-square-foot museum features a tactile component — replicas or sturdier originals — designed from the ground up for visitors who are blind or low vision, and just as engaging for everyone else.

General Admission gives you full access to the museum floor, where APH’s long history of innovation is on display through the history and future of braille, talking books, magnifiers, braille writers, and more. You’ll get hands-on time with products like the Monarch, Juno, and Code Jumper, and hear firsthand accounts from athletes, chefs, entrepreneurs, artists, and accessibility experts, alongside historical figures like Helen Keller and Louis Braille.

The Dot Experience is for all ages — built as a destination for families, school groups, and anyone curious about a different way of experiencing the world.
